For some reason, I keep getting this DISKI/O error status with some numbers right before Windows 2000 pro logo starts ( I can't read the entire line). To workaround this issue, physically disconnect the Zip drive during setup. Any idea of what to try next? and Loads a few files Then Bottom of screen displays "Set Up is Starting Windows" and hangs here??

I can't find the "Any Key" in this keyboard. I DO, however, still see this error message when windows is booting when the problem drive is installed(as slave). The machine originally had Windows ME, then I changed it to W2000. In your case, I would suggest disconnecting the PCI adapter and just connecting your hard disk directly to your motherboard.

And after all that I still have the same problem, I check the disk with Scandisk, Norton Disk Doctor (NDD) and the scan utility provided for the manufacturer of the disk Yes, my password is: Forgot your password? I haven't noticed any system instability or problems either, just that weird error.
