as i said, i returned the first as faulty. With the new battery, the disk made clicking noises and could not be restored. Thinking it was the end, I took its better battery to put in mine, but then only got a must restore message in 4 languages.

The 32mb RAM boards were shipped with the 30GB Video iPods. 820-1763-A with 64MB RAM was shipped with the 60GB version. 820-1975-A with 64MB RAM was shipped with the 80GB version. I've disconnected and reconnected it many times and it still won't work.
